Sydney illustrator Marta Madison is inspired by the beauty of the female form, flowers, nature and animals. Her illustration technique is grounded in extensive knowledge of anatomy and the use of light and shadow to indicate the form, making sublime and memorable images.
Says, Marta, “I prefer old school fashion sensibility, think Rene Gruau or Dior from the 60s. My work uses a mix of graphite and white washes on watercolour paper or using silverpoint on prepared paper. I am skilled in watercolors, acrylic, silk painting and sculpture in fabric and clay.”
Along with fashion illustration and fine art, Sydney illustrator Marta Madison has built up a very successful bridal illustration business, capturing the essence of the bride on her day.
